It is now 20 years that ANTILLES TELEVISION produces and broadcasts generalist TV programs on the island of Martinique via cable, satellite, box and TNT. The initial wish has always been to spread throughout the Caribbean Sea to federate information, mesh the territory and communicate more effectively.
The Broadcast TV nodal caribbean
With the acquisition of ATG based in Cayenne in Guyana and the physical installation of ATV on Guadeloupe, the MEDIA H ANTILLES GUYANE group has become a major broadcasting operator in the French West Indies.
The central nodal is still located in Martinique and conducts the recording and retransmission of the different programs to the three local broadcasting points accompanied by inherent time lags.
The TV broadcast platform WinMedia is the ideal tool for its flexibility, open architecture and scalability over time. It allows, among other things, multi-channel recordings with timeshifting function (retransmission with time offset during recording) essential for distant geographical broadcastings. Local dropouts for advertising space or live magazines can be done manually or automatically depending on the needs and availability of technical teams.
High-speed fiber optic links form the web necessary for this type of deployment. Streaming, sending files, duplexing, monitoring uses this mesh for everyday needs.
