Missioned by the Chad Minister of Information and Communication, HDR Communications has confirmed the necessary choices for redesign the national television and radio to include the creation of production and broadcast environment.
Consulting broadcast in Chad
The national Board of broadcasting radio and TV of Chad gave the ALMANNA group the mission of building and equipping its new headquarters in N’DJAMENA.
The company VIDELIO PREVIEW was shortlisted for the equipment, the installation and the configuration of the audiovisual solutions necessary for the proper functioning of it.
However, these actions couldn’t be possible in the year 2013 as planned. Four years after the launch of the project, the initial contract has significantly evolved, thus impacting the solutions initially proposed.
That’s why, it was necessary to expertise the differents evolution points as well as technological and ergonomic interests.
HDR Communication was entrusted with this mission of study and assistance.
As long with expert reports, HDR Communications assisted the Chadian state with the reception, integration and commissioning of broadcasting production equipment and transmission of OMPT in September and October 2018.
The company OMPT (Office of Public Media of Chad, formerly ONRTV) benefits from a state-of-the-art production and broadcasting environment:
- 4 sets of live-shooting
- 18 units ENG
- 10 editing work stations
- 2 mixing work stations
- a complete control room of TV broadcasting
- 4 speak booths
- 4 radio studios
- a Broadcasting control room for National and Regional Radios
- 2 newsrooms equipped with around 40 work spaces.
Given Chad’s progress on the deployment of digital broadcasting in Africa, the national television is broadcast via satellite and TNT HD.
After a first successful collaboration, the Chadian Ministry wishes to continue its partnership with HDR Communications for its future needs.
The next step will be to propose audiovisual exchanges and content transfer solutions between the 25 regional sites and the headquarters in N’DJAMENA.
